Welcome to Relentless Mentality. I’m Justin Bayless, and I’m thrilled to share my new podcast with you.
So why Relentless Mentality? Relentless is commonly defined as oppressively constant, determined, showing no abatement of severity, intensity, strength, or pace. I believe that relentless is an ethos. You’re not stopping until you get what you want. You’re not taking no for an answer. No obstacle will deter you from your goal. Relentless Mentality is where we get to tap into the mindset of change agents, leaders, and icons. My hope is that their stories inspire and motivate others to transform their mentality in their profession, their personal life, and ultimately their communities.
Today, my Relentless Mentality relates to making integrated healthcare the norm. I’m doing this through my company, Bayless Integrated Healthcare where I am President & CEO. My dad, Dr. Michael Brad Bayless, a clinical and forensic psychologist, founded Bayless Integrated Healthcare in 1982 as a groundbreaking model for mental healthcare delivery utilizing a multidisciplinary team approach. Starting at age nine, I accompanied by dad to work as often as possible. In 2008, my dad convinced me to leave my then stable job on Wall Street and come work alongside him, helping run operations and grow the company. I joined the team as Chief Financial Officer and because the second-generation owner that helped transform the company into a integrated healthcare provider that treats the mind and body as equally important.
Bayless Integrated Healthcare has pioneered the way to incorporating the most important healthcare services under one roof: primary care and behavioral health. While most patients have to patronize multiple locations for healthcare services, Bayless has created a proprietary model of wellness that incorporates addressing the mind and the body as equally important.
I continue to develop new value-based contractual relationships with diversified payer types including medicaid, medicare advantage, long-term care, employee assistance programs, workers’ compensation and commercial health plans while continuously expanding the Bayless service array, locations, and brand. Today, we have six Bayless Healthcare locations across the Greater Phoenix area, with a new location coming on board soon. We are in the process of adding a telemedicine program to our offerings, along with a unique medical home for students and their families in the Avondale Elementary School District to address their complex wellness needs at every stage of life.
My dad passed away peacefully in 2015, and he left behind an amazing legacy of the Relentless Mentality that I carry with me today; the penchant for always challenging the status quo and never settling for good enough. I look forward to bringing a little bit of that Relentless Mentality into your life through this podcast.
